having a hard time finding a photographer who can keep up with you?

if you're not looking for traditional, generically posed photos...

and you want something alive,

something that feels like movement, energy, story, and soul...

My name is Savanna Goodman, and I’m an equestrian, mountain biker, kitesurfer, scuba diver, traveler, storyteller, and all-around adventurer based in Breckenridge, Colorado. I create images built on motion, emotion, and intentional design — whether that’s a split-second candid or a fully engineered composite scene.

I fell in love with photography during my eight years living in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. That’s where I worked on everything from:
Pin-Up style calendars for the legendary floating pizzeria Pizza Pi VI
Stand-in work for DirecTV with supermodel Hannah Davis
Our Colors Will Not Fade — a post-hurricane photo series that documented resilience after back-to-back Category 5 storms
The series was later published in The Huffington Post and featured in What to Do VI. Read the features:

Visual Storytelling + Composite Imaging

Composite imaging is the art of designing a photograph before it is taken.
Rather than capturing a single moment and calling it finished, I begin with a concept: a scene, a story, and a visual structure already imagined. During the shoot, I create multiple photographs: different poses, lighting, backgrounds, and elements. In post-production, I carefully cut, layer, and blend pieces from each image to build the final composition.
Every element in the frame is intentional. The result is a photograph that feels real, but carries the depth and symbolism of an illustrated scene — a moment that never existed exactly as captured, but was created to tell a story. My work lives at the intersection of real moments and imagined worlds. I build stories through:
• Dynamic lifestyle photography
• Multilayered composites
• Concept-driven shoots with symbolic meaning
• Adventure-focused sessions across Colorado and around the world
I don’t just take photos — I design experiences. Every shoot has a purpose, a theme, and a visual arc.

What is Conceptual Photography?

I specialize in creating worlds — intentionally positioning props, furniture, and set details so that every element in the frame feels purposeful. Nothing is accidental; each scene is designed to immerse you in a story, whether it’s a whimsical dreamscape, a bold retro tableau, or a moment of raw symbolism.
To me, it’s the art of storytelling through images — where every frame hints at a larger narrative. The best portraits aren’t stiff or overly posed; they’re rooted in natural expression and organic moments. That’s why I approach each session with a theme, a concept that reflects who you are and allows us to document your unique experience. If you envision something whimsical, vintage, or symbolic, I’ll help bring that creative vision to life.
Whether you’re seeking one-of-a-kind portraits, editorial branding imagery, or conceptual fine art, I invite you to step beyond the traditional and into a visual narrative all your own. Bring your bold ideas and wildest dreams. We’ll make it personal, adventurous, and authentically you.

When It’s You Project

In 2025, I launched the When It’s You Project, a multi-image conceptual series confronting social, political, and cultural power dynamics through reversal imagery. It blends photographic storytelling, composite editing, hyper-literal symbolism, and cultural commentary meant to spark an emotional response. The project was recently recognized by Denver Westword in connection with Athena Project’s national “Body//Power” virtual exhibit.

Let's be real... Equipment matters.

Different cameras, lenses, and setups do different things. I’m able to recreate my signature full-color look because I know which tools to use, and when. I understand light.
